Google's OpenSocial

Like I said in a post some time ago Google is talking on Facebook.
According to this NY Times article Google's OpenSocial will "begin introducing a common set of standards to allow software developers to write programs for Google’s social network, Orkut, as well as others, including LinkedIn, hi5, Friendster, Plaxo and Ning".
Oh well, playing catch-up is not really Google's strongest point. Innovation on the other hand, is. Let's see what will be new and cool about this framework once it's out…
